Position: Front End Developer

Location: Remote

Role: Contract

Required Skills & Experience:

• At least 4 years of professional software development experience, including 3 or more years building production web interfaces.
• Hands-on production experience with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, semantic HTML, and modern CSS.
• A track record of building complex, client-facing SaaS workflows, including onboarding, configuration, validation, status tracking, and error recovery.
• Experience creating data-rich interfaces and reusable frontend components that support multiple projects.
• Strong knowledge of responsive design, accessibility and WCAG standards, design systems, cross-browser compatibility, and frontend performance.
• Experience integrating REST APIs, helping shape API contracts, handling failures gracefully, and building authenticated, role-aware experiences.
• Experience writing and maintaining unit, integration, and browser tests, with the ability to plan test coverage and diagnose recurring failures.
• Experience creating and reviewing frontend technical designs with scalability, maintainability, and cross-platform impact in mind.
• Experience owning software in production, including CI/CD, releases, telemetry, incident investigation, root-cause analysis, runbooks, performance risks, and mitigation.
• Proven ability to lead small engineering projects independently, from ambiguous requirements through production delivery.
• Ability to ramp up quickly, coordinate UI, API, authentication, and deployment work across repositories, and clearly communicate risks and decisions with limited oversight.
• Comfortable partnering with Product and Design to turn requirements and design artifacts into polished user interactions, without needing to serve as the primary visual designer.
• Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools responsibly, with appropriate verification for security, correctness, and maintainability
